The Journey

When a young woman asks to join the Sisters of St. Andrew the first step on the journey is called the Postulancy which lasting from six months to two years, is spent in one of our community houses - at present this is in Ameugny, France.

This is a 'time-apart' lasting from two to two-and-a-half years, in the house of formation - at present in Lyon in France.

Temporary Vows

Temporary vows last from six to nine years and are renewed every two years.

The Third Year

A third period of formation called the 'Third Year' (Tertianship), lasting from six months to one year, is a time of preparation for final profession of vows. This is made as a group of temporary professed sisters coming from the three continents of South America, Africa and Europe.

Final Profession

After the "Third Year" the sister makes her final profession incorporating her fully into the Congregation.
